Q: What is BuyYourFriendADrink.com?
A: We are an online gift services that allows you to buy someone a drink, when you can't be there in person. Whether you want to send a "Pick me up" a "Congratulations!" a "Thank you!" or a just tell someone about this cool new service, a gift from BuyYourFriendADrink.com is a unique gift that your friend will enjoy... Because, who doesn't like it when someone buys them a drink?

Q: Why would I use BuyYourFriendADrink.com?
A: There are many reasons to use BuyYourFriendADrink.com. Our slogan is BuyYourFriendADrink.com…when you can’t be there to celebrate. But you can also use it as way of giving someone a unique gift as a “Thank you”, “ Congratulations” or simply to say “What’s up” to a friend that doesn’t live near you?

Q: How does it work?
A: To give a gift – Simply click here and fill out the buy a drink page. Your friend will be sent an email (and a text message at your option) from you with your personal message and the gift code.

A: To redeem a drink – Simply go to any bar in the network and give the gift code
to the bartender and order your drink. It will help if you print out the email and hand that to the bartender.

Q: Where can I redeem a drink?
A: We are rolling out our service on a city by city basis. We are starting in New York City and Hoboken, New Jersey, but will be expanding to other cities soon. You can redeem the drink code at any of our participating locations. Click here to do a search for locations in our network.

Q: What if I don’t find a location near me?
A: You can download the value of the gift to your PayPal account by clicking here.

Q: What does the text message that my friend will receive look like?
A: Due to character limitations for sending a text message from the cell phone carriers, we use a standard message. Sending a text message to your friend is optional. They will get an email from you whether you chose to send a text message. The message that your friend will receive will look like this:

“(Gift from your name) Drink value $x.xx. Gift code 12345678901234567. Visit BuyYourFriendADrink.com for bar locations.”

Q: Does the gift have an expiration date?
A: Yes. Gifts expire after 1 year. So please use them!
Note, this may be subject to change depending on state laws.

Q: What is the Drink Bank?
A: The Drink Bank is your personal account of all gifts. By signing up for an account, you can earn free drink gifts and other promotional items from your favorite drink brands and Bars/Restaurants. To create a Drink Bank account, click here.

Q: I’ve sent the gift to the wrong email address (or phone number). What can I do?
A: Send us an email to Support@BuyYourFriendADrink.com. Please forward the gift email that you sent. You were cc'd on this gift. If you don't have this email, please let us know: what email address you sent the gift from, what payment method you used, what gift amount you gave and approximately what time and day you sent the gift. Please include as much information as possible as that will allow us to track the gift and get it to the correct person.

Q: Why do I need to put my name and email to send the gift?
A: So your friend will know who the gift is from. That way, they can return the favor!

Q: Do you do anything else with my email address?
A: Our privacy policy is that we do not share any customer information with any third party. We do plan on sending you some emails from time to time to tell you about some new things we are doing with our site. If you want to opt out of receiving any emails from us, please send an email to Support@BuyYourFriendADrink.com with the subject line “opt out”.

Q: I lost my email with the confirmation code, what do I do?
A: Please send an email to Support@BuyYourFriendADrink.com from the email address that the original gift was sent to and ask us to send you the email again. Please also include any information on who the gift was from and approximately what time and date the gift was received.

Q: What happens if the code doesn’t work at the bar?
A: Each bar has a phone number to call if there are problems. Please ask them to contact us. If you still have a problem, email us to Support@BuyYourFriendADrink.com.

Q: How do I add a link (widget) on my MySpace page to BuyYourFriendADrink?
A: You can create the widget code for your MySpace page by following this link.

Q: How do I add a link (widget) on my FaceBook page to BuyYourFriendADrink?
